    Bolton Food and Drink Festival - 24 Aug 2018 - 27 Aug 2018

    Voted the best Food Market by the National Association of British Market Authorities, the Bolton Food and Drink Festival runs over August Bank Holiday weekend, and attracts over ¼ million visitors each year (267,000 in 2017)!

    Victoria Square, in Bolton's town centre, hosts the Festival's live cookery theatre where celebrity chef demos take place. With over 200 food and drink stalls in the speciality markets, including an arts and crafts fair, a festival bar complete with live music stage, beer and cider traders, street performers and a range of exciting children's activities including ‘Stone Soup’ an interactive theatre show, it's certainly not to be missed.

    There's also events at participating local venues and special offers at a wide range of restaurants and food outlets across Bolton.

    Manchester City Football Club First Team Experience Tour - March 2019

    The First Team Experience Tour will give City fans the chance to see the inner workings of the impressive facility and gain a deeper insight into its first team and how players train and prepare for each match.

    Only available during selected dates over the 2017/18 season, the tour is hosted by the Club’s former Kit Manager, Les ‘Chappy’ Chapman. The three hour tour promises plenty of fascinating stories, facts and anecdotes from the man that worked behind-the-scenes for nearly two decades.

    As the Club’s most intimate and premium tour experience, fans are guided through the players changing rooms, where it isn’t uncommon to see Vincent Kompany’s kit freshly hung on a clothes peg; and the boot room where an array of brightly coloured, freshly worn, boots show clear signs of dedication and determination, having been hung straight from the training pitch.

    Guests will then be taken on a guided tour of the gym areas, the 16.5 pitches that occupy the ground and the analysis theatre where tactics and game play are discussed.

    The event culminates with a tour of the players’ private lounge, followed by dinner in the team restaurant. Guests are treated to a scrumptious 3-course buffet, curated by the team chef and the menu is packed full of nutritional, healthy options normally served to suit the individual tastes and dietry requirements of each first team City player.

    As the Club’s pinnacle stadium experience, the First Team Experience Tour offers unrivalled and unmissable access for City fans looking for an immersive experience.

    Manchester Food and Drink Festival - 27th September – 8th October 2018

    Food lovers are advised to clear their diaries from 27th September – 8th October, as Manchester Food and Drink Festival has announced it will be taking over the city and surrounds for the 21st annual Mancunian eating and drinking bonanza.

    The MFDF Gala Dinner and Awards will be happening on the 8th October. The North's highest profile and most coveted food and drink awards are back in 2018 with 20 categories presented from restaurant of the year through to best beer!

    After celebrating its 20th anniversary festival last year, MFDF are looking forward to a brand-new chapter for one of the city’s most popular and impressive events.

    The Festival team are busy cooking up an extraordinary new programme with announcements to start from March onwards.

    In the meantime, MFDF would like to hear from Manchester’s food and drink lovers, as they’re offering an exciting opportunity for the public to have their say on how the next chapter for MFDF unfolds.

    Manchester Pride Big Weekend - 24 Aug 2018 - 27 Aug 2018

    The Manchester Pride Big Weekend incorporates The Big Weekend at Manchester's world famous Gay Village, The Manchester Pride Parade on the streets of the City Centre and The Candlelit Vigil in Sackville Park.

    Topping the bill on the Thomas Cook Airlines Stage for 2018 will be artists including Rita Ora, Jake Shears, Sigala and Alexandra Burke.

    The Gaydio Dance Arena will welcome TCTS, Ana Matronic, Jon Pleased Wimmin, and Pete Tong along with some familiar faces including DJ Paulette, Jamie Bull, Kriss Herbert and Danny Howard.

    Lucy Spraggan, will be performing at her 10th Big Weekend and as a seasoned performer has played every stage at the event throughout her musical career. Plus across the weekend The Sackville Stage will play host to Proms In The Park, Heather Peace Presents and new addition - Bongo’s Bingo.

    Two of the original DJ’s from New York Iconic Club Studio 54 - Nicky Siano and Jellybean Benitez - to recreate ‘A night at Studio 54’ in the Gaydio Dance Arena.

    Manchester Pride is the charity that runs Manchester's annual LGBT celebration, The Manchester Pride Festival.
